Urbis Footie catering contract heads south

There has been quite a lot of controversy over the closure of Urbis in Manchester and the imposition of the National Football museum in its place.

There were arguments both ways but now the outcome is decided,I find it strange that the company running it has awarded the contract for catering to an Essex Company.

According to Hospitality magazine, the £12m food and venue management contract has gone to the Essex company Kudos.

The museum is due to open next year and is expected to attract more than 350,000 visitors per year.

A pity that it couldn't support a few more jobs in the local economy
