The job market is fierce in this country but spare a thought for Veronica James, who stood on the streets of Nashville holding up a ‘Will Work for Business Loan’ sign.

As Portfolio reports her actions have been vindicated

James wrote Wednesday on her blog, Will Work For Loan, that she had received a micro-loan from the Small Business Administration Express Loan Program. Despite holding her sign among the downtown business professionals for several days, the loan is not being facilitated by a local bank, but by California-based Superior Financial Group.

And her tips for anyone else seeking such a venture
