I was a committee member in name only

An interesting riposte to the story earlier in the week in the Times about the non attendance of MP's for select committees.

Adam Afriyie has hit back as reported by Sam Coates in a piece in the Windsor and Maidenhead Observer Reporter

It was always understood that he would be helping the Parliamentary process by agreeing to be a ‘name only’ member of the CSF committee to enable it to function.With 4 young children, including three babies, we’re amazed that he’s been able to be so active throughout. It probably explains his emails at 2 o’clock in the morning.”
