Spelman takes advantage of the nanny state

The Tory sleaze scandal continues to rumble.

Now come reports that Party chairman Caroline Spelman is to face a Parliamentary inquiry into claims that she paid her nanny to act as her constituency secretary.

The story broke last night on Newsnight which tracked down the former nanny Tina Haynes who said that she had done no secretarial work other that answering the phone a couple of times a week.

Although this took place 11 years ago,it rounds off a bad week for David Cameron after the problems of Den Dover and Giles Chichester
