A conflict of interest?

Gordon Brown's political secretary may be leaving his employment but there are rumpirs that she is not going very far.

According to Labour Home

Fiona Gordon will be going into business, providing marketing and campaigning services to MPs, yet there is a suggestion that she will remain on the payroll at No10 as a part-time political secretary with responsibility for liaison with backbench Labour MPs. It is suggested the new role will be for one day a week on a pro-rata salary of around £75,000 per year, paid by the Labour Party.
