experiential purchases represented money better spent and greater happiness


That is the conclusion of a new San Francisco State University study(via Andrew Sullivan)

The survey goes onto conclude that

Experiences also lead to longer-term satisfaction. “Purchased experiences provide memory capital,”
and that we don't tend to get bored with memories only with objects.

A thought for the recession perhaps?
