The second bit of good news on the economy today comes from the OECD which predicts that the UK economy will outstrip its G7 peers in the second quarter of this year.
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development predicts 3.1 per cent growth for the second quarter of the year.
As per the rest of the G7 it predicts that overall, the G7 group of nations would grow at an annualised rate of 1.9 per cent in the first three months of 2010 and 2.3 per cent in the second quarter.
