So the furore has died down and the Chancellor has delivered the last budget of this Parliamentary term.
A budget for growth he calls it whilst the opposition calls it one full of 'waste, spending and taxes.'
The chances are that neither are right and maybe it was Nick Clegg who got it spot on when he said that for Labour it represented “an obituary not a manifesto” and was a “footnote to 13 years of failure in which the gap between rich and poor had widened”.
Whilst looking at the Tory side he accused them of not having the courage to come up with any methodology for tackling the debt.
There was little or no surprise in it,the highlight being the announcement that the government was about to sign a tax deal with Belize and of course we all know who lives there.
So the election will be called soon and the choice is carrying on as we are or....well carry on as we are only with a bit of extra trimming.
