Hain reaches out for the Lib-Dem vote

Is this a foretaste of Labour's campaign to come?

Peter Hain has become the first cabinet minister to call for a new era of Labour-Liberal Democrat co-operation today.

Writing in the Guardian he issues a clarion call to progressives in both of the parties saying that they should work together to thwart the Tories, especially in the marginals

Not just on climate change and tackling poverty, but a shared vision for the public being in the driving seat of public service reform: a contrast with the Tory rejection of Labour's rights to decent healthcare and an education or job guarantee for young people.
