Bristol will be a sign pointer

It would be easy to forget the local elections in the face of resignations and reshuffles but the result in Bristol will surley be a pointer to how Labour is going to fair.

Out of 23 wards these were the percentages of the votes

Lib Dems, 35.1%; Tories 26.0%, Labour 18.8%, Greens 14.3%, BNP 3.3%, EDP 1.6%, Respect 0.84% the result being that the Liberals have taken it from no overall control.
