Quite a remarkable turnaround from the Guardian council who earlier announced that there is to be a recount in Iran.
It will be noted that the news came as President Ahmadinejad is out of the country attending a conference in Russia.
The council has said that votes will be reconsidered in areas of the country in which there are disputes with rival candidates.This essentially means the whole country.
Whether this will stoke the fires of demonstrators further or calm the situation,we will have to wait to see.
