Brown in Borneo

Where would Gordon Brown rather be.Facing the spotlight of the media in Westminster or tacking the dense jungles of Borneo.

Well the FT reports that his sister in law is opting for the latter,

film-maker Clare Rewcastle, has been with the Penan people, the last jungle tribe of Borneo. In defiance of the Sarawak state government, they are engaged in a final, desperate battle to protect their remaining territories, which have been handed over to timber companies for logging.

Clare is the wife of Andrew Brown, younger brother of Gordon.
