Timms is forecasting green shoots.

Steven Timms is suggesting that the recession will be over by the end of the year.

The London Evening standard interviewing him was told that

the UK economy will recover from the downturn in the second half of 2009. He also said the Government is doing “everything we can to support business through this difficult time”.

Of course the strange thing is that the treasury minister is the only person forecasting its end with his boss, the Chancellor not so convinced along with many economic bodies including the Bank of England and the IMF
