The hunt is on for the mole.

It is strange that despite the fact that twenty of the world's leaders are starting to arrive in London today, our attention has been distracted by the continuing row over parliamentary expenses.

The latest came out last night as Sir Stuart Bell claimed that details of MP's expenses are up for sale at a price of around £300,000.

Given the torrent of information reaching the media at the moment, there have been suspicions for a while.

Gordon Brown meanwhile has quite rightly this morning called for the expenses controversy to be brought to a close once and for all.Speaking on GMTV he said that

the rules over expenses need to be cleaned up for the future, and added that having called for an inquiry into the matter to be quickened, he hoped for answers soon.
