Tuesday's papers

The controversy over peers accepting money continues to rumble on.
The Telegraph reports that one of the peers Lord Moonie gave a Parliamentary pass to a lobbyist who represented several defence firms.

The Mail claims that one in five Lords are raking in fees in what it calls a Parliamentary ottage industry worth millions a year.

The Telegraph reports that President Obama has reaffirmed one of his campaign pledges by telling the Muslim world that America is not its enemy.

The Independent also looks at Obama’s continued flurry of activity as he allows states to set tough laws on car emissions.

The paper has a green tint to it this morning,its main headline in the Great Divide as it says that Britain’s biggest environmental project since the Channel tunnel has split .

Both the Times and the Guardian look at yesterday’s job losses,70,000 is the figure quoted in the Times,4000 jobs it says went in Britain and the US lost 45,000 workers as five of its leading companies shed workers.The Guardian puts the figure at 80,000.

It leads with its latest poll which reaffirms that the public is moving away from Labour as the Tories move ahead another six points

Finally the Times reports on the world’s only immortal creature.Turritopsis nut ricula a jelly fish reverts to a sexually immature stage after reaching adult hood.
