The pot calling the kettle black

The interview in thois morning's Telegraph could be summed up as that anyway.

Former Tory chancellor Norman Lamont of Black Wednesday fame describes Gordon Brown as an an arsonist, posing as a firefighter.

This is Lamont's response to the latest governemnt attempts to stabilsize the economy and whilst I agree to a certain extent, its hardly wise words coming from a man whose hands are tainted with economic disaster.

According to Lamont

We are not going to return quickly to the world of "Goldilocks" – low inflation and fast growth. But the Goldilocks story was always a myth. Indeed, many fairy tales are sanitised versions, specially prepared for children, of old folk stories. In the nursery version, Goldilocks is chased away by the bears. In the original story, the bears ate Goldilocks. For far too long, we have been told stories meant for children and not faced up to the realities of our own situation.
