More signs that the voters are turning to Gordon as the crisis worsens

Today's poll in the Independent and sorry to keep on about the polls shows that the Conservatives must worry about the effect that the financial meltdown is having on their support.

As with many of the polls it show the effect of the Brown bounce with the gap closing from 19-12 points.

More worrying though is the answer to the question

Gordon Brown is seen as the "best in a crisis" of the two main party leaders by 43 per cent of people, with 33 per cent opting for David Cameron. Mr Brown (43 per cent) is more trusted on the economy, while 33 per cent trust Mr Cameron most.
