Good scoop from this morning's Sunday Mirror which has "exposed the myth of David Cameron's holidaying at home with bucket and spade on the beaches of North Cornwall.
It reveals that
Bucket and spade' Dave has shown his true 'blue' colours by holidaying on a £21,000 a week yacht, surrounded by an armada of seven boats of 74 mates and family and banqueting in the finest restaurants.
Sunbathing on a £21,000-a-week yacht, waited on by an army of staff, this is the holiday Tory leader David Cameron would prefer that you didn't see.
Mr Cameron and his family joined 74 friends on seven traditional gulet boats for a week-long tour of the Turkish Riviera which ended yesterday.
Each of the double-masted wooden vessels with 20ft high white sails has its own personal chef, captain and two crew hands.
As you can imagine the blogosphere has been alive with comment, this from Bob Piper
So, man of the people, call-me-Dave, may try to talk like the mighty Nessa from Gavin and Stacey, (which sounds pretty buttock-clenching in itself) and go on holiday with his family (with the press pack in tow) for some carefully posed piccies for the cameras throwing his frisbee and walking barefoot in the sand with the missus in good old Cornwall. He wants to demonstrate to everyone that he's a real 'stay at home leader' type of guy, not for him the villa in Tuscany and a week at one of Cliff Richard's pads
