Last night's documentary by Andrew Rawnsley showed up the problems that Gordon Brown's premiership has.
Fundamentally he does not cut it as Prime Minister. His continuous micro management of the party combined with his mismanagement of public relations in trying to emulate his predecessor have left the supreme leader without the backing of his party and the support of his cabinet colleagues.
The turning point was quite clear. It surrounded the time between the two party conferences last year.
Unable to contain the election speculation,he panicked when the polls did not support the party. He made a bad PR decision i going to Iraq to announce troop cuts during the Tory conference.
Then hoisted a mini budget on his Chancellor when George Osbourne usurped his taxation policies.
As a political obituary the show will stay in the minds of those that watched it for some time
