More unfounded speculation in the Mail this morning which is running a story suggesting that Charles Kennedy's alcohol problemmay have returned.
The paper reports
Friends of Charles Kennedy denied yesterday that his drink problem had returned, after the former Liberal Democrat leader failed to turn up for a live BBC radio show.
At the start of the programme, broadcast from Brereton, near Stafford, host Jonathan Dimbleby announced Mr Kennedy would not be taking part.
He said: "Charles Kennedy was to have been the fourth member of our panel. However, he didn't make it. For one reason or another, he missed his train at Euston
On the other hand perhaps he just missed his train
